About this listen
Enid Blyton's much-loved classic series, packed full of adventure and mystery.
A river cruise through ancient desert lands will be an adventure in itself, think Philip, Dinah, Lucy-Ann and Jack. An adventure it certainly is, especially when Bill disappears and the children, along with Kiki the parrot, are trapped beneath a forgotten temple where no one has set foot for 7,000 years.
Perfect for fans of the Famous Five looking for their next adventure.

It’s nice that most of the original text has remained and not been modernised too much however in several places, particularly in this book, Thomas Judd’s voice seems to have been replaced, only to reappear a few lines further on - most disconcerting!
Overall however, Mr Judd narrates these titles very well - he has kept the same voices for the characters throughout.
I’m sorry that I have come to the end of the series - guess I’ll just have to start over!!
