This book is actually told by three different characters, which I thought was really interesting, and I was confused about this for awhile, until it really became clear why. Zoe has been promised via a marriage contract set up by their families to Rocco Prince, another student at Kingmakers, and he is completely and utterly horrible to her. Her younger sister Cat is also attending Kingmakers this year, which was a complete surprise to both Zoe and Cat. While Zoe has accepted her fate, both at Kingmakers and with Rocco, she doesn't like Cat being at Kingmakers at all as Cat is more quiet and had other plans and dreams. Miles Griffin is THE REBEL. He has connections and is known for getting people what they want or need. He also has his own dealings and businesses on the side and plans for the future that have nothing to really do with Kingmakers. What he really wants though, is Zoe, and after seeing how poorly Rocco treats her, he will stop at nothing to have her, and let me tell you before all is said and done it is going to get very messy.
I really liked Miles. He was a bit of a creative genius and so very persistent. I loved how much he cared for Zoe and how willing he was to fight for her. I liked how much Zoe cared for her sister and how selfless she was in general. And Cat, Cat was something else. I am just going to leave that here. I cannot wait to get more of her story in the future. She is fierce.
Listening to the audiobook of this story I think truly helped bring forth all the emotions of this heartbreaking, twisted, emotional, and creative story in a way that maybe even reading the story might not....or maybe the narrators just did such a fantastic job. Jeffrey Holz, Lilly Drake and Maeve York all realy did a wonderful job telling this story and I would recommend them all. It truly was a very enjoyable listen. This book was 100% engaging. I absolutely cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series. The author has created a fabulous world with intriguing characters and inventive story lines to get lost in and I want more!!! #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

I am addicted to everything about this series and I NEED more, so much more.
Each book in the series features a different couple. I have loved this series unique narration of having 3 voices. The main couple Miles and Zoe, as well as Zoe's younger sister Cat. (There is no love triangle, Cat has her own story)
The Rebel features forbidden first love, mafia families, dangerous situations, college parties, super romantic dates, friendships, and heartbreak.
It's a sign of a great book when you care just as much about secondary characters as you do the heroes. This book does that and it has a moment that will break you down. You will feel like you are in the scene with the characters and your heart will shatter alongside them.
This series is crazy good. One of my favs.

I loved the series about the parents yet these are so amazing and leave me in shock, excitement and wonderment. And of course needing more!
Zoe and Miles are the couple focused on in this second book of the series and all of the students have returned to The Kingmakers school. Zoe’s sister Cat is featured as well.
Zoe’s promised to Rocco Prince and is petrified of it. As she should be of the sadistic jerk!
But maybe there’s hope for her in a saviour, Miles. He takes one look at her and knows she is for him and no other will do. However she’s betrothed to another. And this would strictly be against the mafia arrangement. Miles is determined to find a way for Zoe out the arrangement, if only it was money which he has accumulated millions. These two are so sexy hot together they just need to find a way of ending her betrothal. If anyone can Miles will in this book. There is a HEA for this couple too!
Always people fighting each other in this school but it’s no wonder with all these nefarious children from their families who may want nothing more than off some of their opponents. Wowza there so much that happened in this latest book it’s left me reeling. Any nicely segues into the next book for Cat and Dean. Can’t wait for the new school year to get started again.
