Review
An excellent set of stories, and a very well narrated book. The police women featured serve to remind that courage and street smarts are not the exclusive preserve of male colleagues.

Real stories from women on the frontline
Another great read by Alice. Having served on the frontline, I love how Alice is able to recreate the all too familiar emotions that go hand in hand with each account from the officers. It is cathartic to hear these experiences, and serves as a great reminder of all of the females in the Police service across the UK. Looking forward to her next venture.

the realism of the accounts
excellent account of everyday policing in the present time. Evidence of lack of resources all the time, resulting in putting the Officers in even more danger

A shocking read.
I watch very little television, especially police procedural shows and I've never watched Happy Valley so I'm not sure why I bought this book but I'm glad that I did.
It reports on the sort of incidents and trauma that the police ( policewomen in this case) endure every day, protecting the public.
It's not an easy listen .

Not that great
I liked the idea of this true crime story but was left feeling a bit short changed.
Not as good as it is advertised to be
