THE BRAND-NEW MURDER MYSTERY IN THE NO. 1 BESTSELLING SERIES FROM ROB RINDER

A world-famous artist. A fatal brush with death.

At a star-studded opening night for the Royal Academy’s celebration of renowned artist Max Bruce, someone is hiding a dark secret.

As the night reaches its climax and Max addresses his admirers, the occasion takes a shocking turn when a protester runs from the crowd and sprays the artist with blue paint.

Max collapses and it soon turns out that the paint was laced with cyanide. Someone has been plotting to kill him.

All evidence points to the protestor – and newly qualified barrister Adam Green is assigned the impossible task of their defence.

But could there be others who wanted Max dead?

I enjoyed this book. The plot seemed a little obvious through the though. I’d recommend it as it’s entertaining. A good combination of serious cases and humour.

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book- the next in the series with Adam Green and others at the fictional Stag Court. The plot for both the main cases was very well put together, drawing you in, and although the perpetrator of one might have been a little obvious it none the less had me completely gripped. Rob Rinder allows, through his clever writing, a glimpse into a world of which many of us know so little but may well have very preconceived theories about. It’s shocking to hear the way in which young barristers are expected to manage such ridiculous work loads that it may influence the outcome of a verdict, potentially meaning innocent people are sentenced unfairly. I really enjoyed the further development of the key characters and look forward already to the next instalment! Excellent narration too- thank you!

Another super book!

These stories never fail to deliver. Love the little details that us mortals never hear about. Adam’s character is maturing and I really look forward to the next one

Adam is getting more mature with each book. His phone calls with his jewish mother, the developing friendship with Georgina, and his relationship with his fellow barristers are excellently portrayed.

The two cases being tried were excellently portrayed and completely different

Loved the story, really enjoying the development of the characters as in this series, the questions are what happens next? Will we have a long wait to find out?

Impressive

Another triumph for our wonderful Rob Rinder. Superb story once again. The characters are so well written that you feel as if you know them and are part of their world. Always love narration by Josh. Gripping throughout, I cannot wait for Adam’s next case…..I hope very much this story runs into the next one

Superb as always!

I have read all three of Rob Rinder’s books and this is my favourite. He examines important issues and shines a light into the darker corners of the Justice System. I have been ill in bed for more than a week and this story kept me gripped, when my attention span was otherwise diminished. I look forward to more in this vein. Congratulations RR…

Enjoyed very much
