About this listen
'PS: thanks for the murders.'
The death of a 90-year-old woman with a heart condition should absolutely not be suspicious. DS Harbinder Kaur certainly sees nothing to concern her in carer Natalka's account of Peggy Smith's death.
But when Natalka reveals that Peggy lied about her heart condition and that she had been sure someone was following her...and that Peggy Smith had been a 'murder consultant' who plotted deaths for authors and knew more about murder than anyone has any right to...and when clearing out Peggy's flat ends in Natalka being held at gunpoint by a masked figure...well then DS Harbinder Kaur thinks that maybe there is no such thing as an unsuspicious death after all.
From the sleepy seaside town of Shoreham, to the granite streets of Edinburgh and the shores of Lake Baikal, The Postscript Murders is a literary mystery for fans of Antony Horowitz, Agatha Christie and anyone who's ever wondered just how authors think up such realistic crimes....
PS: trust no one.

Brilliantly read crime novel about crime novelists
I absolutely loved Nina Wadia's narration - accents brilliant, character really well conveyed through voice, and story very easy to follow. This is a well -written murder mystery of the unscary sort, with warmly depicted and rounded characters. Some gentle fun is poked at crime writing, publishing and crime festivals too.

Rambled on a bit and became implausible
Not quite sure what this is meant to be. It’s a cosy murder mystery with a bit of police procedural, but for me, the story became increasingly implausible as with little reality in terms of the police actions.
I was disappointed overall and became bored about half way through although I did finish it.

Divine mystery with twists all the way through
Loved this.
Diverse, quirky and eccentric characters plus a few stereotypical ones along the way. Masterfully put together and sequenced at a pace to allow breathing before the next race. Very enjoyable and I look forward to reading more from Elly. Nina’s voices and delivery were good too and made the listening, a pleasant experience. Thank you

Reasonable story well narrated
Worth a listen. I felt the story got a bit convoluted, but it eventually unravelled.

Great plot with a few loose ends.
I loved the characterisation and the flaws that were so generously human.
The reader was fantastic because there were tricky dialogues to get your voice round.
Looking for the next book now….

Thoroughly enjoyed this audio book
Not sure what to expect as there were mixed reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Unusual characters with a few twists and turns. Not a gritty story, but very enjoyable.
