Nice Escape away from what appears now to be a very complicated and Harsh world.

Just enjoyed a different story line………..nothing overly dramatic just smooth and engaging…..

I loved how easy this was to listen to. The characters were very believable And the Lady reader was excellent and had fabulous voices for every character. I would class this as a light enjoyable listen .

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would read it myself instead of buying the audio version. I would like to think that the characters would be improved by my own reading rather than influenced by the narrator's.

If you’ve listened to books by Katie Fforde before, how does this one compare?

Not as good as earlier books, but on a par with French Affair with the same narrator.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Performance was overdone. Pronunciation was so precise, it was uncomfortable to listen to easily.

Yes, not buy another Katie Fforde audiobook read by this narrator

I have listened to this narrator reading other books with better storylines, and I think she has been let down by the weak characters in this particular book.

Very entertaining book by Katie Forde. Jilly Bond is a superb orator. I really felt I fell in love with some of the houses described so well in this book

I kept thinking something dramatic was about to happen, sadly not. Easy to listen chick flick type, I think there are better choices of books to listen to.
