I came across this book through the recommendation of Ashley.

Overall I liked the story, though I found Charlie a bit frustrating as she made foolish decisions, frequently showed bad judgement and her constant distrust of certain characters, yet blind and naive trust of others was a bit annoying, though I suppose that’s her confidence developing and guiding herself out of the previous trauma that was her life.

I do like the relationship building between the characters though, particularly Charlie and Kale.

I’ll be listening to the next book when it comes out, to see how this story matures.

I got this after a positive comment on Instagram ashleyottesen. Really enjoyed this book and world. Nice not being able to guess endings. Good story line and opening for future stories. Def worth the 5 star
