About this listen

As a young man, Leon Nader suffered from insomnia. As a nightwalker, he even turned to violence during his nocturnal excursions and had psychiatric treatment for his condition.

Eventually he was convinced he had been cured - but one day, years later, Leon's wife disappears from their flat under mysterious circumstances. Could it be that his illness has broken out again?

In order to find out how he behaves in his sleep, Leon fits a movement-activated camera to his forehead - and when he looks at the video the next morning he makes a discovery that bursts the borders of his imagination. His nocturnal personality goes through a door that is totally unknown to him and descends into the darkness....

Absolutely loved this book! Was brilliant! Rare I write reviews but felt I needed too! If you’ve enjoyed other books by Sebastian Fitzek this will be right up your street! Dark with twists I’m still getting my head around. Narrator was great too! Would definitely recommend!

Loved it!

I loved this book as it had a great storyline with many twists and turns. It's a testament to the brilliance of the author, that the reader could easily keep up with the twisting plot. Loved it!

Lots of twists as with all of Fitzek’s books, didn’t grab me like some of his others but enjoyable non the less. If you like this try Therapy and Amok.

Good but not my favourite Sebastien Fitzek

I loved this story from being to end, fast paced with lots of twists and turns, brilliant plot with brilliant narration

mind blowing

Well read, but the plot is quite involved and needs a lot of concentration. Thought provoking however as the lead character is in such a terrifying situation: does an effective job of portraying altered reality and how easily humans can lose their grip on their sanity.

Both mystifying and frightening
