About this listen
It’s always been a thing, the gag joke gift Pontus Andreassen’s so-called friends present him with for Valentine’s Day. Not that people care much about Valentine’s Day in Denmark these days, and anyway, all of them are now grown up and sensible and mature and… adult.
Pontus hates that word. He hates it almost as much as he hates going out and meeting other human beings and engaging in socialising, conversation and mutual masturbation.
Until the day he gets gifted a cleaner, and his quiet Friday turns into the Valentine’s date from hell.
Louis Ramsdahl-Soto’s grandmother would probably have whipped his third-generation Chilean immigrant arse if she knew that he has turned her famous recipe for Pastel de Choclo into some Scandinavian vegan delicacy. She would have whipped his arse for a lot of things, he knows that. The problem is that Louis seems to lack that vital gene to get his life in order. Instead he has moved back home to his parents and started up his own company, which is going well, if only his clients would remember to pay him, and if he could sometimes remember to put his meagre earnings in the bank.
He’s a little bit of a disaster, but at least he’s good at what he does. Until he meets Pontus Andreassen.
Now re-edited and refreshed for 2023!

What a great little listen!
I can’t put my finger on what it is about this little short story, but something about it gives me all the fluffy, happy feelings.
Perhaps it’s the two messy, emotional but really relatable characters. I could so easily identify with both of these main characters and their thoughts and worries about life and love.
Or perhaps it’s the banter - who doesn’t love the banter between two MCs - there’s a lot between these two and it’s really quite funny to listen to.
Or maybe it’s the narration. I’ve not listened to anything by this narrator before (I don’t think), but there’s something familiar about them and how they read. I think if you’re a fan of Dan Calley and their narration, that you would like this style. They absolutely bossed this story - I loved how they brought Pontus and Louis to life.
If you’re looking for a heartwarming, light and short read/listen - I would 100% recommend this.

Fun, fun, fun
Story: so much sass and dry humor! From the very first minutes you get treated with oodles of fun internal and external banter that makes the story a breeze of a listen. I laughed out loud multiple times and loved every second! The characters were endearing and so unique!
Narration: First time listening to this narrator and he did a good job. The sarcasm translated to the story really well and the performance did justice to the story.

Delightful rom-com!
This could also be titled When 'Manchild meets Manchild' lol! Underneath the comedic aspects of this is a story of friendship, loneliness, communication and opposites learning to work with each other to create something special.
Pontus is a successful, one-man business. Outside of his friends, he has very little contact with the outside world. Louis, has an interesting story - former nurse now nekkid cleaner! There is grumpy/sunshine feel to both men which made for a very entertaining read and listen.
Ray Calleja is new to me and had a really great voice other characters, my only gripe is that he seemed to talk a bit fast (for my liking; I slowed the narration a bit and enjoyed it). Other than that, I will definitely look for more of his narrations.
Overall, a delightful experience!

Amazing story! Great new (to me) narrator!
Loved the MCs and really enjoyed the writing. Louis is such a surprise, especially in the beginning, and I love how caring he is in the face of Pontus’s initial grumpiness. Louis and Pontus are both a bit of a mess, in different ways, and I adored the rambling and awkward conversations they struggled through. I like that they are not picture-perfect MCs, but real flawed human beings, and those can also have a HEA 😊
The audiobook is great. The narrator has a very pleasant voice—awesome accent!—and does a wonderful job bringing these messy, anxious characters to life.

Short, sweet , cute and definitely funny
As someone who used to listen to my list of favorite narrators, it was a bit of a change for me, but after a wee bit and getting used to different styles of narration, I finally could enjoy the story. Finished it in no time. Loved both MC and it might be controversial, but I loved that it was situated in a European country, as most I end up reading booked based in US or less so UK.
Great story with a great performance.

Fun to listen to
The story wasn't very long, so it was ideal to listen to in an afternoon or evening.
I didn't know the author Sophia Soames before, but I liked her writing style. The dialog is well written and realistic, the characters are quirky and that's what made it fun. I had to smile a few times.
Pontus is a loner who runs his business successfully but could do with more friends and has an emotionally lonely heart. Louis loves being naked and so he cleans naked and has a sunny disposition. He lives with his parents, who are also very close to nature.
Together, Louis and Pontus make a hilarious combination. There are also surprisingly hot scenes and hilarious situations. Very entertaining!
The narrator Ray Calleja is new to me and he has a great voice. He did a good job and I found it delightful to listen to a British narrator.

wow
I really loved this. It's such a cute little story and has everything you could possibly want. A lot of humour and silliness, a good dose of heat and a gorgeous romance at the core. I laughed out loud a lot, and it's a great story by a talented author. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Ray Calleja, and I enjoyed his performance, although I have no idea how he managed to keep a straight face, some of the lines are fabulous. Definitely recommend as a funny, sweet romance that somehow feels just a little more genuine and authentic than most.

Short but tasty
A fast paced MM novella that ticks lots of boxes.
Obviously due to it's length, you know there has to be an almost 'insta-love' element to The Naked Cleaner.
Pontus and Louis are like 2 sides of the same coin, balancing out each others' 'weirdness'! That makes this a sometimes humourous, sometimes wtf? story.
Needless to say, although short, we have the required HEA.
