So sad I used a credit for this book. There is nothing of Janette Oke's warmth and uplifting stile in this book. It is a lot of boring details about vanity and nothing interesting. I try to skip parts and hoped it would bee better but not so. It is very sad that Audible give so little sample one can not hear the style in a book at such a short time. The woman who reads the story has a voice with no life it does the book evan more boring.

This was a fascinating and moving story set in the time of Arcadian settlers in the colonies. An example of individuals showing the love of God to overcome cultural and national dispute.
Well narrated.
