About this listen

Robert Greene is a master guide for millions, distilling ancient wisdom and philosophy into essential texts for seekers of power, understanding and mastery. Now he turns to the most important subject of all - understanding people's drives and motivations, even when they are unconscious of them themselves.

We are social animals. Our very lives depend on our relationships with people. Knowing why people do what they do is the most important tool we can possess, without which our other talents can only take us so far. Drawing from the ideas and examples of Pericles, Queen Elizabeth I, Martin Luther King Jr, and many others, Greene teaches us how to detach ourselves from our own emotions and master self control, how to develop the empathy that leads to insight, how to look behind people's masks, and how to resist conformity to develop your singular sense of purpose.

Whether at work, in relationships, or in shaping the world around you, The Laws of Human Nature offers brilliant tactics for success, self-improvement, and self-defence.

The True Guide To Navigating The Murky World

Exceptional. If you have eagerness to learn what makes us tick and rather un-special, this is the audiobook for you. The narrator isn't the most exciting but definitely grows on you and generally makes you grow listening to this. Highly recommend but not for the faint hearted due to the length

The ideal principles of life

I wish I would've been raised with these principles. This is the absolute book about human nature.

Bring the "Rules" and "Seduction" books together

I would say that this is the most "light-weight" book I have read/listened from Robert Greene. Definitely a more "watered-down" version of the 48 Laws of Power and the "Art of Seduction". Although the ideas are less "controversial", they are as always amazing to take onboard.

This is a must read/listen if you have already read/listened to the other two books. All three books gathers together a nice set of principles.

Chillingly good, essential learning, a masterpeice

I am at awe at the penetrating work that went into this, I knew it would be good based on Robert's past books but it surpassed.

amazing book

I wish I'd read this this when I was 20, but then perhaps it only rings so true because of what I've learned in the meantime
