About this listen

This time, it's more than personal.

Within the tranquil confines of a west Wales village, peace gives way to pandemonium as a trivial theft transforms into a devastating tragedy.

DCI Evan Warlow confronts what initially appears to be a straightforward case, only to find himself ensnared in a web of deceit.

And when a routine press assignment also exposes a team member to a malevolent scheme, chaos begins to spiral.

From idyllic coastlines to rugged peaks, Warlow races across diverse landscapes in pursuit of answers and to foil a deadly adversary. In an electrifying narrative of suspense and sacrifice, he must forge unconventional alliances to tilt the scales in his favour before it's too late.

Prepare for yet another spellbinding police procedural that will keep you glued to the story long after midnight.

The thrilling conclusion to a 4 book story arc ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This series really is excellent!! I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book as an audiobook, and, as I hoped, it provided a brilliant conclusion to a major story arc, which started in Book 10.
I could have just read the book of course, instead of waiting, but Tobias Weatherburn does such an incredible job of bringing all of the characters to life, with his amazing narration, that it would just not be the same to read the words, instead of having him perform Rhys Dylan's excellent writing.
I know that there are already 3 more books in the series, yet to become audiobooks, and I really cannot wait for them to be released!

A nice surprise to wake up too.

Another good book from one of my favourite authors. Loved the narration too. Now the wait begins for the next instalment of this wonderful series x

Gripping story line!

It’s great to listen to a story that includes familiar places (just bought a pup from Llanboidy). Excellent plot and great narration coupled with humour from Gil and a little hint of romance makes this my favourite! Only problem for me was housework and gardening was neglected as I had to savour every word and of course I finished it too quick. Can’t wait for the next 3 to be available on audible.
