From Book One I was hooked to this series, it had some dry spells during the whole of the Books, but overall it was an entertaining listen. However Book Twelves ending left to many unanswered questions. The characters are left in limbo, with the majority of them actually left worse off. To think that this is the finale doesn't make much sense. It leaves you with a sense of disappointment as it appears to be unfinished. If you've worked your way to Book Twelve, you'll understand, after knowing the characters for so long and the battles they had to face, only to reach the conclusion that this finale leaves you with.

After 20 books and it saying it’s the end of the saga. Worst ending ever. So many lose ends. Am I missing something?

Lack of a proper ending

Where something could go wrong within a fantasy world it certainly did go wrong. If I were told that this is the last book I would be devastated beyond belief. Each character has lost its purpose and is either dead, missing or enslaved. The writer does not even mention Camu towards the end of the book so nobody knows what happens to him or Owna. I enjoyed this book like the others but do feel left balancing on a shelf by the writer.

I guess there's scope for follow ups. For the last book, it's left a lot of loose ends and the kings decision feels a bit frustrating, lightly made after so much progress was made to that point.

I have to echo that it was a disappointing ending

I have really enjoyed this story series by Pedro Urvi. Having followed the lovely character developments, subplots and grand theme. The final instalment promised to be a ready grand finale.

However, the main protagonists all end in limbo; imprisoned, frozen in ice, lost in another world, unconscious and the main hero wakes after a long coma with no memory and his draconian partner is off hibernating.

I would have valued a cleaner finale rather than the open ended version. I assume it leaves readers to ‘form their own endings’, but after a 20 book engagement it left me feeling rather deflated.

I love the room it left for sequels and prequels. didn't like the ending much though

I loved the first 15 titles in this series. But the last 5 just dragged. The endless battles with seemingly indestructible dragons became drawn out and boring. The ending to the whole saga is most frustrating and disappointing. Such a shame as I really enjoyed the characters and their backstories but this was ruined by stretching the story several books too far.

After listening to all 20 books, getting to know the characters and following their epic adventures. The ending of this book was beyond disappointing. I am so sad and frustrated that the story has come to an abrupt stop. So many unanswered questions. as if the author did not realise themselves that this would be the last book.
Pedro Urvi, if you're reading this please, if you can, give your characters the final book they deserve.
