About this listen
Mum always knows best… The stunning debut for fans of Celia Imrie and Dawn French.
Meet the daughters of Iris Parker. Dee; sensitive and big-hearted; Rose uptight and controlled and Fleur the reckless free spirit.
At the reading of their mother’s will, the three estranged women are aghast to discover that their inheritance comes with very tricky strings attached. If they are to inherit her wealth, they must spend a series of weekends together over the course of a year and carry out their mother’s ‘bucket list’.
But one year doesn’t seem like nearly enough time for them to move past the decades-old layers of squabbles and misunderstandings. Can they grow up for once and see that Iris’s bucket list was about so much more than money…

Where does The Kicking the Bucket List rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Interesting, entertaining and thought provoking. Most enjoyable. What other book might you compare The Kicking the Bucket List to, and why?
I haven't read any other book quite like this.Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favourite?
My only criticism of the performance was that one of the main characters had a cold which was apparent on occasion, depending on which part of the book she was reading -obviously not done in sequence. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yesAny additional comments?
I really enjoyed this story. It had humour, good characterization and a tale that left you wanting more. It was also very sad in parts (I actually cried!). This was more than chick-lit, having substance to it that left me thoughtful and determined to be a kinder person. Thought provoking and still very entertaining.A real gem!
