I love a good grown up horsey story but this is unrealistic, stereotypical rubbish with pathetic female characters. I only got to Chapter 16 before I had to stop - Olympic level riders with only one horse each? On the brink of financial ruin but the main characters never pick up a mucking out fork to save on groom's fees? A group of people who work with horses standing pathetically around till the vet comes when a horse goes lame and then the vet "cannot speculate"? Absolute tripe.

I'm giving up at this point... the handsome immigrant trainer who is likely to get deported; the headstrong daughter who needs "helped down from the horse" if she gets slightly upset? One dimensional at the basic and obviously neither of the authors have spent any time with real horse people or women, for that matter.

As I said, I love a good grown up horsey story. This isn't one....
