Spoilers:

While on patrol, Abdullah ibn Muhammad encountered a man without hands or legs, barely able to see or hear, yet continually praising Allah. Intrigued, Abdullah asked what blessings he was so thankful for. The man replied that despite his hardships, he was deeply grateful for the gift of his tongue, with which he could praise his Lord. In need of help, he then requested Abdullah to find his young son, who used to care for him.

Abdullah soon discovered the boy had been taken by a wild beast. Reluctantly, he returned to share the heartbreaking news, finding solace in reminding the man of the patience of Prophet Ayyub (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The man, Abu Qilabah Al-Jarmi, responded with profound faith, accepted his loss, and soon passed away. Later, Abdullah dreamed of Abu Qilabah, now in Jannah, his endurance and gratitude rewarded.

This is a story of unwavering faith, gratitude, and trust in Allah, even through the severest of tests. This story was collected by Imam Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him).
