Sophie Cousens is a new discovery for me and I’m so excited to work through her catalogue. This book, like the others I’ve read/listened to so far, did not disappoint. She’s brilliant at writing lovable ‘real world’ characters and making me laugh out loud with clever one-liners or funny situations she paints so vividly with her descriptions. Such a great read. I loved every minute. The narrator was fabulous too, she has a lovely tone to her voice, I could have listened to her over and over again. Really enjoyed this one, would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the writing and story line of this book .. there were laugh out loud moments and times when I really felt for the characters. The narration flowed and was so easy to listen to .. would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed this light hearted listen. Good distraction. Not too complex. I did chuckle a few times and it was poignant in other places. Did keep me wondering how it was going to end which was good. It wasn’t totally obvious.
Loved the Scottish Sam. Excellent voice and accent!

It caught my attention right from the get go, all the way to the end.

Her future husband, Sam, was adorable. I enjoyed the Scottish accent, and the little voice of her little boy.

Entering the future, you had drones delivering packages, just like the owls delivering letters in Harry Potter. You also had cars that drive themselves, just as they do in other sci-fi films.

Full of love, laughter and a loss over the years she has lost in order to skip to the good part.

This has been my favourite book of the year.

Love Sophie Cousens other books and this one was no exception. Had me bursting with laughter and on the verge of tears. An emotional rollercoaster. Definitely recommend.
