About this listen
Life for Ivy Hawthorne has changed overnight.
Her reign as queen of the Winter Court is on the horizon, she is married to a dark Unseelie prince she used to hate, and she and Jules are about to graduate from high school in the human realm. Best of all, Alena's threat to the Faerie Realm is over.
But as Nan used to say, when things seem too good to be true, they usually are.
With Alena's daughter Teagan still missing and Slaine carrying the heir to the Seelie Court, Ivy can't afford to let her guard down, even for a minute. And when the leaders of the Faerie Courts gather for a much anticipated union, the threat Ivy has been dreading may prove more dangerous than her darkest fears.
Trapped in Teagan's ruthless web, Ivy will be forced to make impossible choices that will lead her to face her deepest secrets.

4.25 heartbroken STARS ★★★★✩
This book is for you if… you're loving this series already or if you need reassurance that this series is the hot stuff! I loved this instalment so much - it broke my heart in many ways and ends in a cliffhanger just like the other episodes, but boy, was I invested.
⤐ Overall.
I feel like I've overused this phrase, but I need to talk to someone competent about my heartbreak concerning this book. The fudge, Bekah?
As per usual, The Glass Scepter was another quick-paced instalment that kept me breathless from the excitement (and also because I was walking the streets of Hamburg in a rapid manner because I'm too cheap to pay for public transport as long as I have two functioning legs).
At this point, returning to The Iron Crown Faerie Tales is like having the best time with your old pals. I grew so familiar with all the characters I'm excited to continue this story every time I press play on my audible app.
Suspense-wise, this was even better than the predecessor. Together, they are both definitely my favourites in the series. It was nice to see both the personal growth in the relationships and the progression of the story going steep, although I'm not sure just how Bekah did it.
⤐ What’s happening.
Although the dangers to her realm are not forgotten, Ivy finally arrived at her happy ever after. Arden is the one she's settled for and her heart is l o v i n g it. But the enemies don't sleep and while Teagan plots to take her revenge on the heiress to the Winter Court, Ivy, Arden, Jules, Padriack, Bare and even Sloane have no idea what the upcoming events might cost them.
Con:
⇢ heartbreak
⇢ evil monsters who know your darkest fears
⇢ some more heartbreak
Pro:
⇢ arden is absolute lover material
⇢ finally spending her forever with her best friend
⇢ all the flirting, damn you isolation

The Glass Scepter
OMG! This book is amazing. I fall down the rabbit hole further each book. Just when I thought everything might turn around for Ivy, then the END happened! I can't wait for book 6!
