I liked this book a little more than the first one because it really started to dig into the magic part of it. Along with more magic, the history of Meena is being discovered also. This definitely brought me more into the story but again, I just wish it was more. I know these are episodic but I feel like the story just needs to be told more. It wasn’t until the end, again, where it started to get really interesting and then just end. I am definitely curious about Meena’s past so I will most likely continue the story but I think this would be better if you could just binge it all at once instead of waiting for each episode to become available like I am. In general, I am liking Meena’s character but there are just some moments where I don’t. As the story continues, I feel like I will start to like Meena more and more. The overall story is interesting and I think that is what’s keeping me going.

If you are following these reviews then so far I would say wait until all episodes become available currently. You can binge one and two right now, but I would suggest waiting and I’ll keep you updated on how it goes! This is definitely a series I am going to continue though.

In this chapter we have a bit more magic than in the last one. Classes have started, and the plot gets fuller.
There are a few questions answered, but more were born.
I'm waiting for the next one to find out more about Meena's story.
As for the narrator, she still isn't my favourite, but it got better since the last chapter.

Another fast-paced story, and for every answer we get from the previous episode, there seems to surface two more questions. Once you begin listesning to this episode, you can't put it down! There are so many twists and turns, that it keeps the listener fully engaged. Great story!
The narrator became even better in this one, I reckon. I liked the first one, but this was just great.

My main comment on the previous book was that the narration wasn't great. I was concerned when I saw the same narrator's name on this book, but very pleasantly surprised when I listened - while still a bit stilted in places the narrator did a much better job I thought and it was easier and nicer to listen to. Overall this series is enjoyable and absorbing and I'm looking forward to hearing how the story progresses.

Book 2 gives us the first parts of magic classes! You get some more action and so many questions at the same time! Of course it leaves you wanting to know what happens next!!
