About this listen

An innocent favour for an old acquaintance pulls a journalist into the terrifying web of the Manchester underworld. As he struggles to free himself from the brutal clutches of the city's most devious drug lord - and those of a violent newcomer - the unfortunate Shaun Mullin must straddle the lines between crime and the law, good and evil… and life and death.

The Fight in the Dog is a smart thriller with a strong northern sensibility and a streak of dark humour. It is the first in the ‘redbrick noir’ series featuring journalist Shaun Mullin.

Loved it , really good story line . I really liked how the character Sean thought and his description of the world and others . First read for me . Loved all the little phrases throughout this book , they made me smile and think further about what was being delivered . Look forward to more 👍

Modern , gritty and too soon
