Really enjoyed the reading. The story is good but there are a few points where things just happen because they need to.

Loved reading this story as a young adult - immensely enjoyed listening to it again as an old man. Very well narrated. Ursula K Le Guin's magic universe is deep, poetic and somehow more dignified. Thoroughly enjoyable.

loved the book. sometimes when Ged is speaking it was hard to hear the word but the narration is amazing. worth every moment

Earthsea must of been the inspiration for so many other books. I thought I'd skipped a book at first as it starts off with new characters and I couldn't see how it follows on from the last book. Before long the story falls into place leaving me thinking "Arr I see what's happening now" can't wait to listen to book 4

The description of Earth-Sea is so breath taking, I could vividly see every island, rock and wave. As all previous books this starts off with a slow pace - fully immersing the listener. Cried a few times- both in sadness and in joy. Marvelous.

Kobna Holdbrook-Smith is one of the most interesting and unique narrators I have ever had the pleasure of listening to - a true actor. And what a joy it has been hearing him bring Le Guin’s marvellous story to life. Pure magic.
