I just couldn't get over the way the narrator speaks to men as if they are blubbering baffoons who get everything wrong or innately don't do enough while women are pregnant.
Perhaps this is how the world views men. I can't help but feel like a Homer J Simpson in every chapter listening to this. I suppose the acceptable response is to just laugh at myself and play along...?
condescending tone to men

There are some useful bits of advice and information, which are generally adequately resourced. An exception is the "Advice From Expectant Dads" section at the end of every chapter, which include completely unchecked unsourced statements (eg "I've done some research - the main reason the hospital advise against Caesarean sections is the cost".
Avoid if you're looking for a book for grown-ups.
Awful.
