Excellent companion book to the tarot sequence series. While reading the first three books, especially The hourglass throne, is beneficial, it's not essential to enjoy this book. As usual, K D Edward's characters are supremely fleshed out in a story full of excitement, revelations, and humour. It is a pleasure to read.

After finishing the Hourglass throne, this book is ideal to fill some of the knowledge gaps!!! I enjoyed it a lot. I cannot wait for the 4th book. This series is soooo complete. All characters are well thought and the story is well threaded. I love it!

So if you’ve listened to the other books so far - this one is paved with nuggets of information that have me wishing The Misfit Caravan would just land in my lap already! Brilliant story and I consumed it all in one sitting - best day of my year so far! Josh Hurley really brings these books to life and I love how Max is a mini Brand in training with all his mannerisms. It’s a must listen from me! Right back to The Last Sun etc to re-listen and put all the nuggets together.

I fell in love with Rune and his growing wonderful, crazy and delightfully sassy family almost immediately.
Quinn in particular has always been a delight and now we het to know him, Max and Anna much better.
