About this listen

Meghan

After finding my long time boyfriend, James, in bed with another woman, there was only one thing to do with our non-refundable Christmas trip to Miami: go alone and wallow in my sorrow. But, I found something in the fancy south Florida bungalow that I never expected... a man. He was tall, dark, handsome and claimed he owned the house.

At first, I just wanted him to leave so I could spend the week to myself. But, there was something about this man that attracted me. There was more to him than just his amazing abs and wealth. Maybe, just maybe, he could help me get over James.

Demetri

I should have been home at the castle this close to Christmas, but my father's constant pressure to be "proper" and "prepared to rule" drove me away. So instead of celebrating with my family and my people, I was in Miami partying and making a general nuisance of myself.

That is, until a girl stumbled into the family villa that I was hiding in to avoid those responsibilities. She began making wild claims like "I rented this place" and "put on pants". While I wasn't quite in the mood for company, something about this leggy, vulnerable blond tugged at me in a way other women hadn't.

This Audio Book started out really good. So much fun, romance and endearing moments.
I really enjoyed the story until around 1 third through.
Then, alas the emphasis shifted from fun and romance to drama.

There were time shifts, skipping over some fun stuff (starting relationship, continuing of courting and other sexual encounters, bonding of the two main Characters) and (to fast for me) turned into drama only.
And besides the added drama I didn't like, the story also became less credible to me and lost my interest.

I liked the narration, although the accent of Curt (who does Demetri's part) was a bit strong and needed getting used to.

I didn't think there was anything 'Christmassy' about the story, and to add 'Christmas' in the (sub) title is a bit misleading (and maybe meant to draw in more people?)
The only connection Christmas had to the story was that it was an excuse for the Main Characters to give each other a present.

I got this Audio Book for free (thanks!). I'm voluntarily leaving this review.

Fun romantic start alas turns to drama

Anything thing royal and add in Christmas and it’s the perfect story in my eyes. Totally cheesy story but I loved it despite that. Narration could have been better, the accents weren’t totally believable.

Meghan trying to figure out her life after a breakup. Dem trying to hide from his life. They help each other figure things out. I enjoyed this story and it had a good ending but I wish there would have been an epilogue. I always enjoy the story more when there are male & female narrators working together. They did a great job narrating.

When Meghan walks in on her boyfriend cheating on her she decides to go on the vacation that they had planned alone with the understanding that he would move out while she was gone. When she arrives at the home she rented the surprise is on her when a sexy stranger is already staying there.

Deme’s family owned the home however he didn’t realize it was rented. He does not want to return home and spend Christmas with his disapproving family so they agree to share.

As they spend time together the chemistry between them ignites but when Deme’s sister comes to bring him home is their fairy tale about to come to an end? I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and I thought the narrators did a great job with the dialect of both characters.

I enjoyed listening to both the narrators Curt Bonnem and Nicole Blessing. Both did a great job .

So what is a girl to do , when she finds her boyfriend in bed with some one else. You go away for two weeks over the Christmas period , to relax .
But the owner is there, and he is hiding from his family and responsibilities..
This was such a lovely story. We have humor, hot passion, great chemistry, wonderful characters, a little royal blood .

Very average predictable tale, with predictable ending. Sweet enough, sweet interactions, not really Christmassy. No humour, no drama, no intrigue, no point really. The ex was called James, Dimitri means James.

Female narration was good, male accent was very thick, but grows on you through the story, but not too old like Sebastian York.

For a really lovely story of a romance with a Prince listen to Reign by Roxie Noir.
