About this listen

Full of dread, 20-year-old Sadie Alberts enters her stepfather’s study. He informs her she’s to be married off to an ill-tempered business acquaintance across the country in Oregon.

Terrified, Sadie has no option but to obey. On the way, she’s caught up in a disaster outside of Shadow Gulch, Idaho - one that leaves her stranded and with no memory.

Sadie is taken in by the kind folks of Shadow Gulch and finds a home with the local doctor and his family. Before she knows it, she’s made friends with the townsfolk, including the local sheriff and, more importantly, his handsome, stalwart deputy, Roswell Morrison.

With her memory playing tricks on her, Sadie is stuck in Shadow Gulch until she figures out who she is and where she was heading - or until she makes up her mind that Shadow Gulch itself has everything she needs....

I love these happy ending western no ballast, but they usually do not have the greatest narrators. In the Christmas bride who forgot, Elizabeth“Sadie,” is in route to Oregon so she can be the payment for her stepfather‘s death. Do you to marry a man twice her age so she has no choice but to listen. When the train arrives in Shadow Gulch, Two men start fighting and when the Porter tries to stop it he is pushed and bumps into and Sadie and knocked her down where she hit her head. This is Wayne the deputy sheriff Roswell Morrison is called to help. When he bends down to look over Sadie, he is amazed and awestruck at how beautiful she is. When he leaves her at Dr.Elliot home until she recovers he is compelled over and over again to go and see her. Unfortunately she have forgotten who she is and although, the memories are slowly coming back. She is afraid to tell anyone, Because the last thing she wants to do is leave shadow gulch. Everything is fine until someone shows up in town that doesn’t need her to remember, because he knows where she was going and why she was going there and will make sure she gets to her destination. At least that’s his plan. This was a really great story and I love this narrator. I haven’t heard her read an audiobook before but hope I hear her again. This is my favorite genre and I gave it five stars and it deserves every one of them. Please forgive any grammatical or punctuation errors as I am blind and dictate my review.

Finally a great narrator for a great story!
