About this listen

There is a crisis of leadership in our world. And when leaders don’t lead well, everyone in their stead suffers the consequences – themselves included. Production is not what it could be; progress is not what it could be; profits are not what they could be, because leaders are not what they could be. To introduce a new kind of leadership – leading from the soul – Karl Martin welcomes us into four spaces to guide our daily rhythms: The Cave, the Road, the Table, and the Fire. Each space will advance the project – and that project is you.

Practical and focused, Martin keeps legacy in the forefront, providing tools that can grow you into a leader who not only succeeds within their current context, but might even be the kind of leader who ‘fixes the character of their times.’

This book was recommended to me by a student on a two day introduction to GROW coaching conversations course. I’m so glad she recommended it. Karl’s simplicity of vision (supported by real world business and life examples) is a manifesto for soul leadership. That is, leadership which is true, brave, kind and curious. It’s the kind of leadership that (through feeding the leader’s own soul) feeds others and sets the culture around the leader. More than just a manifesto, it’s also a workbook that has you actively engaging with soul leadership in a repeatable rhythm.
