Amanda is in desperate need of a place to live. Problem is her budget is small. While looking at one at one in her budget she ends being kidnapped and locked in the apartment. The building owned by a dark and dangerous man called Connor. He sells women to other men for money. These men buy the women to own them, to use them, the women become the men's' pets. Connor has a past full of pain, and trauma, he has never known love. Connor believes he doesn’t deserves to be loved. That is until Amanda came into his life and every thing changes.
The book has plot twists and leaves you wanting more with its cliff hanger.

I loved Amanda and her tenacity! Connor was an interesting surprise I didn't see coming. Then Malcolm entered the chat and BOOM! (mind blown!!)
I don't really know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't all of that! I was so surprised in all the best ways!
This book kept me on my toes and had me pacing the room.. I couldn't wait to see what happened.
Sarah Puckett, Oliver Highpoint, and Marcus Zarco were fabulous! They brought the angst and the drama and the excitement to life for me and I can't wait for the rest of this series!

This is the first book of Danielle's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved getting Amanda, Connor, and Malcom's points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series to be announced.
Sarah, Oliver, and Marcus did an amazing job on the narration. They all know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dark romance, romantic suspense, psychological thriller, or captive romance.

Sarah Puckett, Oliver Highpoint and Marcus Zarco tell this thriller and they are incredible. Puckett goes into the darkness as Amanda, a woman who has a history and is a survivor. Her portrayal is spot on. Highpoint uses that alpha voice he saves for characters just like Connor, the kind that will make heart flutter and scare you to death! And Zarco is the nerd, and his interpretation of Malcolm could not have been more on point. This is a fantastic listen and wonderful cast.
