When the zombie apocalypse strikes without warning one dog will hold the fate of her pack in her paws. This is the story of Riley, an American bulldog. Follow along as she tries to keep her pack safe from a zombie apocalypse. Traveling with her are Ben-Ben the high-strung Yorkie; her favorite two-legger, Jessie; Jessie's younger brother, Zachary; and Riley's archenemy, Patches the cat. They are a rag-tag group of survivors, who, when pushed to the limit, realize that they are all each other has.

Fans of horror fiction laced with laughs are likely to be tickled by this droll audio edition that kicks off Tufo’s new series centering on the eponymous canine. To realize the author’s concept—seeing the zombie apocalypse through the eyes of an American Bulldog—narrator Sean Runnette (who performed Tufo’s equally funny Zombie Fallout series) needs to pull off a plausible first-animal narration. He does this and more—convincingly voicing a terrier and a cat, as well as various humans. And listeners won’t find it difficult to differentiate Ben-Ben, the “little pain in the ass Yorkshire Terrier,” from Riley. The story wastes no time rolling up its gory sleeves and getting into the action—and Runnette ably transitions from humorous canine antics to savagery (e.g., when Riley rips the face off a family friend turned zombie), successfully blending horror and humor. I enjoyed this book . I liked the story from a prospective of an animal. Although I enjoy this reader , I think it should have been a female reader instead of a male being that the main character is a female. But this was great

this is a good short story from the dogs perspective, the author did a great job and leads into his other zombie books.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a book from the dogs point of view but was pleasantly surprised. its got all the Tufo whit you would find in ZF but in a fresh approach

I had not really been overly interested in reading this as it seemed a bit ridiculous. I am so glad though that I did because I really enjoyed it. Mark Tufo's entertaining style, and obvious love and knowledge of dogs made this a really lovely story that ended far too soon. The play between the animal characters is really lovely and the characters really well thought out and executed. Riley is a great character and the play between her and the cat is particularly funny. The star of the story for me is BenBen, the Yorkshire Terrier. His eternal optimism and search for food is endearing and hilarious.

I found this a very enjoyable listen. The narration is good, and the concept is quite innovative in an otherwise very stale genre.

Is it worth a credit though? Hmm, I lean towards no. The story isn't complete ok it's own and feels very much like a beginning with no end.

If you can find an omnibus edition with all 4 books though, DEFINITELY get it.
