About this listen

When hundreds of birds fall from the sky into Slayton's lake in a terrifying freak event, the waters are dredged - revealing a dark, long-held secret.

An old pram is pulled from the depths, with the bones of a baby still strapped inside.

It's the moment that new mother, Cora, has been dreading since she moved to Slayton - because someone knows, and is going to make her pay.

With the help of forensic anthropologist Sophia Hudson, and the extraordinary young Elliott Carter, Detective Sarah Noble gets to the bottom of a cold case that refuses to stay in the past. Will she survive the secrets of the bone house?

Perfect for fans of Cara Hunter, Alex North and Stephen King.

The Slayton Thrillers, with Detective Sarah Noble, can be read as standalones, or in any order.

Love this series

Hope there’s more to come from Slayton!
Really enjoy a good detective series and this one stands out with the supernatural element also which has had me hooked from the first in the series; the midnight man.
Another great story that I couldn’t turn off.

Love this series

Pulls you in right from the beginning. Felt as though I knew the characters. Can't wait for number 4.

Absolutely superb book.

Book 3 of the Slayton Thrillers and as amazing as the first book in the series. Caroline Mitchell is a true thriller writer and both the narrators were exceptional. Adam Prices voice is like butter. I would highly recommend this series of books and can’t wait for book 4.

Wonderful series

This is book three in the series, I would recommend reading or listening to them in order. I’m really looking forward to more from this creepy town!

The bone house

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Emma Gregory + Adam Price

Detective Sarah Noble once again finds herself investigating a mystery that as previously in the town of Slayton seems to have a sinister and creepy undercurrent.
When an old pram containing the bones of a baby is pulled from Slayton’s lake a cold case is dragged into the limelight, can Detective Noble solve the mystery before more innocent lives are lost?
I love a good detective story and even more so if it has a supernatural element to it, this book ticks all the boxes for me.

The narration is fantastic and really helps bring the characters to life.

Superb story and superb narration

Wow, this one knocked my socks off, it has all the elements of the first two books but dare I suggest, an even creepier story? I loved every creepy moment of this book and can't wait for a book four (and five, and so on) .

This listen is so so creepy😱

This is a fabulous listen , the Author and narrators have made this a real gem, Emma Gregory and Adam Price have come together to read us this amazing work of art.
Adam Price made his character absolutely delve into the depths of nastiness his voice being a perfect fit. Emma Gregory used her skills to voice many characters Bravo to both of you !
I had quite a few moments where i almost cacked myself having been listening into the dark creeping hours and not realizing just how dark it was until I HAD to put the light on.
A brilliant story line , the voices added to the scene setting ,a maze of manic moments another massive hit from Caroline Mitchell
I read this as an e-book but found it so much more exciting as an audiobook.

Very nice

Very nice story. The plot was entertaining althoug in some placeses little boring. The ending was suprising and the voice acting was done well. Very good option for fans of the author or those who like some spooky mysteries.

Disappointed

Disliked male narrator intensley.
Couldn't listen unlike previous two books which I thought were excellent.
Maybe reading the book will give more pleasure as listening I just couldn't -
Male narrator grated on my nerves I gave up listening before halfway and that was with teeth gritted
