I loved this. Albania has always fascinated me as a country, not that I want to go there. This book taught me a lot. I liked how it wasn't obvious as to what was happening and why. Onto book number 3 for me.

Nick Louth is one of my new favourite authors. His books move along apace with plenty of action from start to finish , and this one is no exception. It is also very well performed.

This one and 'The Body in the Snow' stand out as probably the two best in the series so far for me in terms of their plot (have listened to book's 1-6). The backstory in both have definitely been the most interesting. A few of the books are less robust in terms of depth of plot, but I have gone through 1-6 because I enjoy listening to how Gillard investigates and Marston York has a very listenable voice. As an entertainment that's easy to listen to, the series fits the bill for me.

There's nothing obvious about where the story is leading and keeps you on your toes and glued to your device as it's difficult to leave it at any point in the story.
