About this listen

Some things just wont stay buried.

The number one Sunday Times best-selling author returns with the much anticipated new Logan McRae thriller.

What drives someone to murder?

Logan McRae's personal history is hardly squeaky clean, but now that he works for Professional Standards he's policing his fellow officers.

When Detective Inspector Bell turns up dead in the drivers seat of a crashed car, it's a shock to everyone. Because Bell died two years ago. They buried him. Or they thought they did.

As an investigation is launched into Bell's stabbing, Logan digs into his past. Where has he been all this time? Why did he disappear? And what's so important that he felt the need to come back from the dead?

But the deeper Logan digs, the more bones he uncovers - and there are people out there who will kill to keep those skeletons buried. If Logan can't stop them, DI Bell won't be the only one to die.

Hooked straight away

Story line fab, twists & turns, I felt anxious at times ...what’s gonna happen! Thought characters were great, love all the dry humor. His writing gets you really hooked in & theres a belief it really happening
Can’t wait to read another of his.

Excellent!!

loved it. Another book in the Logan McRae series. Poor Logan never gets an easy time of it and this time is no different. Gripping story, all the favourite characters like Steel and Tufty that are as much a part of it all as Logan himself. Great Read.

Heading is optional

My favourite in the series so far, great to finally see some of the threads coming together and to have all the gang together

Smashing Book.

What a great book for the series. Great narration, too, gives a real good sense of the book.

Done it again

Stuart has done it again... love his characters & how they subtly change ( as we all do) as they get older Not always wiser though.
The narration is as always excellent , Steve Worsley brings the characters to life. Fab voice .
I’m always disappointed when the book ends as I then have to look for another to fill the gap till the next exciting case .
