About this listen

The Bean People of Beataterra: Dramatized - a fun way to learn about Godly behavior.

by Shelly Weingart

*A story about a kingdom of people who get turned into lima beans and grow stronger through adversity

*It starts with a king who behaves irresponsibly, and God allows his subjects to be taken away from him.

*Bitter-sweet, humorous, inspiring.

When Soyer & Vetch meet Grandpa for the first time, he almost seems to be expecting them...

Grandpa and the Beans each hold a secret key to unlock the other's future...

Join Vetch & Soyer on a wild and whimsical adventure to Beataterra... and beyond...

The idea for the Bean People began when Ms. Weingart was a child in the 1960s. She sat with her neighbor on her front porch in Van Nuys, California drawing pictures of fat stubby little men on the back of used “computer paper” that her father brought home from work. She called her creations “beanery” men, a word she had heard her grandfather use and liked the sound of. But she never would have imagined that those machines her father used at work would one day evolve into household devices that would allow her to digitally create colorful characters out of photographs of beans!
