About this listen
A Warhammer 40,000 audio drama collection.
The Imperial Guard represent the very best of mankind - its indomitable spirit, ordinary men and women refusing to give up in the face of all the horrors of the galaxy.
Listen to it because: In this collection, you'll discover seven tales of the heroes of the Astra Militarum, from stalwart Elysian Sergeant Zachariah to the larger-than-life Commissar Cain.
The story: Across the war-torn galaxy, the Imperial Guard are a bastion against the enemies of mankind. From the elite veteran drop troops of Elysia to the fierce Catachan jungle fighters and from Valhalla's ice warriors to the crews of mighty battle tanks, the many regiments of the Astra Militarum defend the Emperor's realm against all who would tear it asunder. This audio drama anthology contains seven tales of the brave soldiers of the Astra Militarum. A three-part story delves into intrigue surrounding Sergeant Zachariah of Elysia as he faces traitors. Two outrageous adventures of the infamous Commissar Ciaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium, take him and his warriors into danger after danger. A tank crew faces terror in real time, and Catachan Colonel Straken faces cultists on a jungle world.

Awesome voice acting and sound effects!
Unlike normal audiobooks, this one is performed by various voice actors, each portraying a different character and great sound effects to set the atmosphere. Unlike some audio dramas, there is narration in addition to dialogue and audio cues.

Would have liked more hours for the price if had bought in cash instead of credits. Other than that this is amazing.

How on earth did they manage this?
This audio book is so excellent if feels like you are watching a movie but not really, more like listening to it. Everything from sounds of props to the voice actors are movie grade. Awesome. They went through so much effort. It's amazing. Also the stories are very engaging and fun for a Warhammer fan. I so wish this was an actual movie and I could see everything that is going on but it's not all bad considering that the narrator describes all that is going on. Do not skip this!

For the Emperor
Great collection of audio dramas my favourite would have to be Titans Bane or Waiting for death but there are no duds in this collection.
if you like your 40k this is for you

Amazing
Really good collection of short stories. First three are basically one longer story. Another amazing job done with the sound track and performance full of power.

the 4th story is
the 4th story is a bit slow to get going..... but once it does, its brilliant.
overall, all the stories are brilliantly read. the voice actors seem to have been well chosen - appropriate for the characters they're playing.
Good sound effects to back up the story as well.
