About this listen
There are no happily ever afters in the new Undead World. There are no vacations or time-outs or do-overs. There's only the endless daily grind of living or the shockingly horrific fact of death that hangs over every living creature left on the face of the earth. For some, that death lies in a single mistake or a moment of bad luck, or simply in fate. For others, that hard death hounds them day and night, relentlessly. When a huge bounty is placed on their heads, Neil Martin's misfit family is set upon by ruthless bounty hunters. They are pursued by sociopaths, sadistic ex-soldiers, and, of course, the warped Believers of New Eden. There's no refuge, no place of safety, and no shining city on a hill that will take them in. They are outcasts and doomed to flee from their enemies until they're forced to make one great stand.

Where does The Apocalypse Outcasts rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's very good. Basil is a great narrator and the book was fast paced as well in terms of story progression. I really liked it.What did you like best about this story?
I liked Jillybeans character and her psychological problems mixed with her savant style abilities. I also liked, and feel that it is important to mention, that this book whilst within a series offers a full story with an acceptable conclusion and therefore stands alone as a story. It's not just jumping or bridging the series.Which scene did you most enjoy?
I don't want to give the story away by going into detail but lets just say that the characters go through strife and hardships that test and strain them. It's good to see that not everyone who survives such a harsh environment is a shining beacon of moral virtue. It's tough to survive and survivors are tough.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was well written and well narrated and I think that the author made the world seem harsh and real in a way that I imagine it would be. The characters were interesting and it was entertaining from start to finish.Any additional comments?
