I am not even joking when I say that this audiobook is paying off dividends already. The very first mind-blowing experience I received was only listening to Chapter 1 which is all about understanding anxious attachment. It was revolutionary for me. It gave me a ridiculous amount of understanding on the topic that I did not previously have, that just allowed me to flow from chapter to chapter as I got to know myself and "get" myself through self-awareness and pattern recognition, the art of being mindfulness, enhancing self-esteem, and etc. Chapter 1 laid the foundation for me when it opened my eyes to my own triggers in my relationships with my partner and even friends. In one day, this audiobook helped me understand my own triggers and see my own responses which I can admit now look a bit toxic. My partner is a saint. Today, after I finished listening to this audiobook, a situation arose between me and my partner via text, and I was triggered immediately. What is super important to know, and I want to share with the entire world, is that I recognized my trigger immediately, and I diagnosed my response to the trigger as inappropriate. After a few minutes to calmly think about what I just learned, I realized what caused my trigger, and I was able to rationalize with myself that my response was fight provoking. I immediately responded and apologized that I was triggered and explained why and my partner understood. Thank you so much for this book!
