I thought this book was going to be geared more toward how to get your book published and all of the steps that would entail. It's not. However, it is geared more toward gaining an understanding on the algorithms that Amazon uses in order to make the book sell better and stay ahead of the competition.

I enjoyed this audiobook as it’s always good to hear another publishers take on the business. Some of the information was spot on, and helped to reaffirm the process. I also thought a chapter or two might already be dated as far as KDP publishing goes.

The narrators performance was, at times, a rushed. I enjoyed his enthusiasm for the topic and the reading overall. Recommended for the content and information.

This book was a great listen as a fellow self-published author. It provides practical strategies and tips for how to sell more books. In particular I liked the explanation of low versus high content publishing and advise on going diversifying between multiple platforms and not just relying on Amazon. It is cool how it also talks about integrating AI into the process. Overall a great book for those who are want to try their hand at self-publishing their book instead of relying on a traditional publisher!

I would recommend this Self-Publishing guide book for anyone who has already started their self-publishing journey, who already has a reasonable understanding of the marketplace and wants to improve and learn more.
There are lost of very valuable pieces of information and learnings, from someone who has obviously studied and immersed themselves in Self-Publishing. I found lots of new information I wasn't aware of, and the book (audiobook in my case) held my interest from start to finish, and I listened in one sitting.
Books of this type are usually all about opinions, and this is no exception, but there are strong arguments presented throughout.
If you are listening on audiobook (this might sound odd) I would recommend speeding up the audiobook slightly when listening, it helps to deliver the message more coherently, the narrator has a tendency to speak quite slowly.

With all the voices out there pitching you to buy expensive courses, I appreciate the quality of information in this book. It lays out the platform from which you can launch. Listening to it debunked several myths and misconceptions. I will listen to the other titles Richard Abbott has made available to get more information to help me succeed.
