I appreciate that the author has some really actionable steps and teaches both CBT and DBT techniques. Most books only focus on one or the other. The narration was engaging and kept my son interested. I highly recommend this audiobook!

All of which can lead to anxiety. Some teens experience it worse than others. I don't have much to say about the others, but I know I went through a lot. I relate with the author in the introduction, feeling performance anxiety, though my aspirations were different. And I am grateful the author chose to write this book from experiences and great learning.
I really appreciated all the windows the author gave for the listener to relate. There are a lot of ways anxiety happens, and different ways it affects different parts of us in different people.
And of course, the tools! My goodness. If I'd had these in high school ... I'd be much better off. The practice around breathing, even, would have been revolutionary. Tolerating high emotions without needing so much external regulation... would've been awesome!
I'm thankful for those years. I'm thankful for this book being out there to help teens. Get the book, teen or not. Go help some people and help yourself help people.
