A good story and plotline however it is a shame Mr Brown didn't carry out much research on the British end of things.
1. The law enforcement organisation is 'The Police' not 'The Constables'
2. The Chief of the Defence Staff is a Military officer not a civilian.
3. The SBS are a unit within the Royal Marines and is not populated with Naval Ranks (yes the Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy but ....)
4. The Downing Street briefing, a naval Captain would never be used as a yes man to a politician. ( RN Captain = Army Colonel)
5. There is no such thing as 'The Royal Army' Its Royal Navy, Army and Royal Airforce.
Notwithstanding the above it's moving along at a good pace and the plot is enjoyable
