About this listen
When dealing with demons, the devil's in the details...
Stealing mystical and arcane artifacts is a dangerous business, especially for a human, but Zoey Wharton is an exceptional thief. The trick to staying alive is having friends in all the wrong places. While having a witch and a werewolf on the payroll helps, being partners with a vampire really opens doors.
Zoey and Daniel were childhood sweethearts until a violent car crash took his life and left her shattered. When Daniel returned from the grave as a vampire, his only interest in Zoey was in keeping her safely apart from the secrets of his dark world. He has vowed to protect her, but his heart seems as cold as the night he calls home.
Five years later, a mysterious new client named Lucas Halfer offers Zoey a fortune to steal the Light of Alhorra. The search for the Light leads Zoey into the arms of an earthbound faery prince. Devinshea Quinn sweeps her off her feet, showing her everything the supernatural world has to offer, but Daniel still calls to her heart.
As the true nature of the Light is revealed, Zoey discovers Halfer is a demon and much more than money is at stake. Per her contract, she must give him the Light or spend an eternity in Hell. What's a girl to do except fight for her soul...and her heart.

Zoey, Daniel and Dev are interesting characters, The story is entertaining and suspenseful, filled with danger, action, intrigue, passion, and twists and turns. The world building is imaginative. Steal The Light
Yes, I like!!!
Normally I read/listen to romance mostly. But give me Vampires and I'm yours :)
Especially with this story... you have vampires, werewolves, demons, fairies, and any other possible creatures.
Zoey, Daniel and Dev - a constellation and its outcome I didn't expect.
Lexi painted a world a really like, with all its characters living in it.
And she described all creatures perfectly, so I could imagine them how they looked like.
Fantastic story, great narration and I'm looking forever to the next book.

Enjoyable!
I really liked this humorous, paranormal, love triangle romance. This book was different than others I've read/listened to and I was so surprised at how funny it was. This slow burn, action-packed, romance had so many twists and such amazing characters. I loved plot, mystery, and suspense. I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book and I definitely enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to.
Kitty Bang did a fantastic job voicing both the male and female characters.

A funny Paranormal Romantic Suspense
Steal the Light is the first book in the Thieves series by Lexi Blake. This is the story of the leader of a crew of professional thieves who specialize in magical items. Zoey Wharton is a human, but her team consists of a witch, a werewolf, and a vampire. Zoey and her vampire, Daniel, used to be childhood sweethearts, but then he died. When he rose a vampire, the council took him. Away for years and Zoey waited for him. When he returned, he joined her crew to keep her safe, but refused to rekindle their relationship. Zoey continued to hold a candle for Daniel while he seemed to be about with another “blood source” every night. Her friends convince her it is time to stop waiting for Daniel. Devinshea, a fairy blind date, swept her off her feet, but when Zoey was attacked, Daniel swooped in to keep her safe again. As if matters of the heart aren’t enough turmoil in Zoey’s world, she inadvertently entered into a contract with a demon for a fairy artifact and failure to procure it would mean the loss of her soul. Dealing with dating woes, sexual frustration, betrayal, and her soul in peril, what is a girl to do? I enjoyed this light-hearted audiobook which was a well narrated, funny, paranormal romantic suspense novel. Lexi Blake’s way with words is always solid and her stories creative. If these elements appeal to you my guess is that you would enjoy it too. This review is voluntary, honest, and the opinions expressed are my own. Urban Fantasy brought to life
The first book in an urban fantasy/paranormal series which sees the intrepid heroine and human Zoey teaming up with a witch and werewolf, and of course not forgetting her former childhood sweetie David who just happens to be a vampire, determined to do his best and protect her from his dark new world and keep her at arms length while doing so. Together they make up a fantastic relic hunting team for whoever engages their skills. When on her latest case to find the light of Alhorra, Zoey encounters a faery Prince, Devinshea who just might be the one to mend her broken heart but before she can put it to the test, she finds out her new client is actually a demon and failure to find his artefact could cost her her soul.
There was a great flow to this book with lots of action, humour and steam. The characters were all well rounded with depth, and each brought something to the story. I loved Zoey’s feistiness and there was a hint of mystery about just who she would end up with, David the broody vampire with who she had history or would she choose the faery Prince Charming in the shape of Devin. I can’t wait to find out as this series progresses.
As a rule, I normally prefer dual narration over a sole performer, but Kitty Bang did a fantastic job voicing both the male and female characters in Steal the Light to the extent I forgot she was the only narrator. She did a great job bringing Steal the Light to life and making this audio book an enjoyable listening experience.
