About this listen

Luke Skywalker wanted to unify the Jedi order and bring peace to the universe. Instead his wife Mara lies dead at the hands of an unknown assassin, his wayward nephew Jacen has seized control of the Galactic Alliance, and the galaxy has exploded in all-out civil war.

With Luke consumed by grief, Jacen Solo works quickly to consolidate his power and jumpstart his plan to take over the Jedi. Convinced he's the only one who can save the galaxy, Jacen will do whatever it takes, even ambush his own parents.

With the Rebel confederacy driving deep into the Core to attack Coruscant and the Jedi under siege, Luke must reassert his position. Only he can lead the Jedi through this crisis, but it means solving the toughest problem Luke's ever faced. Does he fight alongside his nephew Jacen, a tyrant who's illegally taken over the GA, or does he join the rebels to smash the Galactic Alliance he helped create?

legends

great story it's a shame that the current makers of star wars think it's more important to do the unexpected than it is to give the fans what they want that's how you make a entertaining film that's loved and it's how you make money

The force is strong with this one.

Great storyline, well read and fast paced. Lots of important happens and battles that help decide the fate of the jedi.

Great story

Would be nice if it was unabridged. The story is both gripping and compelling. Love star wars

Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant

Took me a while to get used to the “alternative” narrative given i seen all the films before i started on audio books but i am absolutely loving this story line now.
Marc Thompson, as always, using the force to deliver yet another perfect performance

Now I just need the next one.

Amazing the fall to the dark side continues and the war rages on. I can't wait to see what happens next.

So wish this wasn't abridged.....

.....such a great series. Really deserves to have full recordings. Worth a credit, even though it's abridged.

Spoiler **** you’ll thank me ***** spoiler

These books have awful continuity of the force ... they adjust to allow plot and its galling.
A trio of grande masters and teenage padwans couldn’t combat a battalion of guards... because what they didn’t have lightsabers and some snipers were hidden in bushes ???!!!

Plus what jaina just became a rubbish pilot after it’s been her thing for the last 50 books????!!!!!

And hacen can now detach jedi from the force ... well it’s game over then if that could actually happen

And in proper James Bond style .... just as luke is about to kill him ... Ben does something ridiculous and Luke misses and tap in to kill him ....you know ... sharks and fricken laser beams yawn yawn

Then Luke leaves a crippled jacen alive even though he came to kill him ... just like he did with lumiya who went on to kill his wife .... question... why are the authors writing Luke to be such a pillock

And turns out the most powerful entity in the galaxy is the weird little sith ship that has no place in any story. No history of it no mention of it and it’s so powerful that it makes you wonder why the sith didn’t make 2 or 3 or 500 and just rule the galaxy for ever

Why is the reader expected to be so credulous to actually accept all this nonsense

Who is permitting this rubbish to be printed
