About this listen

Lady Isabella Porter and Lord Gerard Malden have known each other since they were children. Isabella thinks of Gerard as someone who teased her unmercifully and made her feel inadequate as a young girl. But Gerard has loved Isabella for many years.

A sudden, fierce snowstorm and misplaced notes informing both of a change of plan mean Isabella and Gerard are forced to spend the Christmas holidays together in very unusual circumstances.

Gerard realizes he must use the time he's been given with Isabella to change the opinions she formed as a girl so she may look upon him with favor and, if he is fortunate, lasting affection.

Nice short, sweet, festive listen!

I LOVE regency stories so couldn't wait to lap this one up! Its short and sweet and just how I like my historical romance. Isabella and Gerard get stuck at a house over Christmas due to inclement weather (with some staff and a chaperone obviously) they have known each other since they were young children and they have a history of Gerard teasing Isabella. I won't spoil it by giving away the rest of the story but it is basically about Gerard trying to show Isabella how much he loves her and her coming to terms with her real feelings. The story is beautifully set in the period with lovely little festive touches that make it feel like you could be there watching them. It's like a cosy blanket romance so if that's what you like you won't be disappointed. The narration was good, with appropriate voices for the characters and good pacing, it definitely added something extra to just reading the book yourself, letting you just sit back and enjoy the story! I would def read more books by this author and narrator.

Second Chance Holiday Themed Listen

This is a story that puts you right in the mood for the holidays. The author does a good job establishing the background relationships between the characters and building on them. Just loved the use of the tradition of "kissing under the mistletoe". Its a short, heartwarming listen that is perfect to listen to during the holidays.

The narrator did an excellent job in this performance. She was consistent and differentiated between character voices well. I also think her voice and accent took this story to the next level and added an element of authenticity of the intended setting and time period.

I received a review copy at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Festive Regency Listen!

Snug in a Snowstorm is a delightful short festive listen. I love a friends to lover's story, and add in the regency time period, and its a winner. Cynthia Moore did a great job with the vivid imagery in this sweet book. Megan Green fit the narration perfectly. She added the right emotions to this listen. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

A lovely recency novel

I totally enjoyed Isabel and Gerard's story. He teased her mercilessly as a child but his sister was a great matchmaker when she believed they were great for each other.

A nice, gentle romance for Christmas listening.

This was a nice little story to listen to over the Christmas period.
I love it when friends fall in love and what better way to move things along than to be left alone together in a big old house during a Christmas snowstorm.
Short and sweet.
