About this listen
It’s Christmas! And this year, Shorty Bean will be performing in a Christmas play at her school! But what will happen after the Christmas play once all of the students are dismissed for winter break is where the real adventure begins.
Shorty Bean and her parents will go to her grandparent’s cottage for Christmas. But Shorty had no way of knowing that it would launch a series of events which would bring unexpected change as lives are forever rearranged. Shorty Bean often reflected to the last time she was at her grandparents and how the coin of fire fell from her hands into the depths of the river.
It was a dreadful day on that mountain top with White Cloud and Smarty. But anytime she is at her grandparent’s, the ordinary becomes rather extraordinary and what Shorty didn’t know was that a profound mystery had begun to stir in the deepest parts of the forest as new creatures emerged. Unexpected characters had moved into the oak tree at the cottage and under the deck where Mrs. Patty lives along with some new visitors.

Such a lovely tale
This is such a sweet tale full of morals for children, even little things like everyone has their special place in the world. This is fantastic for children. The narration is brilliant as well. Overall I’m very glad I listened to it

Cute story, loved it.
This was such a cute little story story to enjoy, and while it is meant for children I think even adults would enjoy this.
The narrators do such a great job and work well together. Benjamin does a great job giving the book life with the different voices and the tones are great and of course Rosy helped perfectly in time with him. The little girl voice had me smiling, it was so cute.
I got this book free and am writing my own thoughts on the book down.
