This is the first book in the series and introduces to the characters with a mystery to be solved. It is a good story about vikings, following a would be shield maiden and listening to it draws you in. I'm looking forward to the next book to see what advature and trouble is still to come.

& myths, hervor our mc struggles with her vindictive grandfather whilst caring for memoryless mother, with friends and enemies all around hervor tries to unravel the secrecy of her birth and why most think she's cursed.
Great characters written believably this thriller unravels, enter a lover and God to create a wonderfully tense story. narrated with great voice emphasis to add to the enjoyment.
oh and I love the thrall.
