I've been waiting slightly desperately for this series to continue on.😍 I was so excited to listen to the newest book & what was happening to Wild & Her Crew of friends. I wasn't disappointed. The story picks up the day after graduating the Culling Trials & on the journey to their selected Houses. Wild, of course, is butting proverbial heads with other 'Shades' on her bus.😂 A message goes to the driver to divert to the House Of Wonder. Chaos & mayhem has broken out across the board, did they say explosions???😱💥
This is really well plotted with a fabulous world build. I felt like some more layers were peeled back from certain characters, which was brilliant!👍 There's heart ache & heart break, assassins & serial killers and back stabbing & double crossing.💔😳 We also see some blasts from the past.🙏👻 I did miss some of the hilarious snark from the previous books but it certainly isn't by enough to stop me reading the books because the storyline & characters are still extremely strong.🌟 I'm really looking forward to book #5.🎉

The plot and action starts to finally pick up a little more, although it's the last five or so chapters that really start going.
My issue isn't with the book, per se, but actually due to the name change from books one, two and three!!
I'm hoping that lots of others have picked this up, although not those that it should have done.
The reason for the four stars is that book four has deemed it fit to change the surname of "the most prominent family," it seems that the Helix family decided to change their surname to Helios!!
Understand now why my title is "Helios??"
I understand that some times errors are made with lesser characters or places, but this is pretty huge!!
It should have been noticed by any of the following.
Author
Editor
Proof reader
Beta or ARC group
And many of others whose job is solely to ensure these mistakes are rectified, prior to the release of these books.
Again Khristine Hvam is the one who manages to bring those characters to life and she does a great job again!!
I'm really getting into her Texan drawl....that's the right word right?? Sincere apologies if that offends!!....
But again the audio has got that name change in there too. So that is why the story gets four stars!!
It's also why I love being in the Beta/ARC team for authors, as I've always been able to pick up on such things!!
I'd still recommend both book and audio, as the rest of the book/audio are excellent. Just don't grind your teeth each time you read/hear Helios 🤦🤦🙈🙈
