About this listen
Peggy Iverson fears working at the camp with Gavin McKenzie, but she agrees to it since he convinces her he is a new man. Gavin is counseled by Reverend Billy Croft, and learns some truths that change his life. He hates that Peggy fears him, and he sets out to show her he is reborn in Christ. One thing leads to another at camp, and he ends up asking Peggy if he can court her in order to convince Violet to forgive and forget, but he falls in love with Peggy in the process. Violet gives him an impossible ultimatum, instead. Which offer will he chose?
©2016 Barbara Goss (P)2017 Barbara GossI liked Gavin in this story, he tries hard to get over his problem as well as being good to others even when they have negative thoughts towards him. This showes his true character. I felt sorry for him becuase he made a mistake that he tries to fix it but some one would not give him a second chance and gives him an ultimatum. He doesn't blame them, he blames himself.
I loved peggy in this book and I loved how she fought for Gavin and how she acted opposite to him. Where he is more forgiving and blames himself, she blames others for the way they feel about him. She stuck with him and tries to make him happy and he for her. I felt this is what true love is. You fight for each other in the worse times. I still don't like violet. I did not like her in a shadow of hope and I don't like her here!
