I have to admit I haven't listened to a story like it.
The main characters Lorelai and Christopher are both only 17 years old and they go through ALOT,I forgot that they were only 17 as I listened to their romance unfold.
Lorelai Castillo is a free spirit her family are part of the Castillo Mob,her father a mob boss...They own numerous buisnesses but Lorelai does not want any part of her families criminal activity..She has no desire to be involved in any of their buisnesses.Her parents except her decision but what she has to endure to achieve that is painful.
Christopher Montgomery moves to Sausalito with is parents and grandparents,he sets eyes on Lorelai the moment he comes to town.
It is that moment that seals both of their fates,But Chris has already been warned to stay away from Lorelai by her father and brother..but the attraction to eachother is too strong and ,they embark on a secret relationship.
If her father finds out he would hurt Chris and they spend blissful days together and passionate nights wrapped in one another.
Then just when everything is going so well tragedy strikes.!!
Stephanie Salvatore addresses some difficult subjects in this story,so sensitive readers should heed the trigger warnings.
The narration is solely told by Kat Carpenito,she does an excellent job at performing all the characters in this book,male and female.
I enjoyed listening to her.
Christopher is very swoony his loyalty and commitment to Lorelai is so amazing and he doesn't give up on their love..even when Lorelai kind of does she is emotionally broken at one point and I felt so sad for both of them.
Sausalito Nights is a very intense,emotional,steamy and romantic story,that I enjoyed listening to.
I was impressed by Stephanie Salvatore's storytelling and I am looking forward to listening to book 2..
