The best handbook on survival. It does lack the pictures being an audiobook; knots and plants is where the pictures are most needed. However, it doesn’t take away from the book, as paper copies are easy to come by and it is still very educational. It is read well which makes it easy to listen to. Overall it’s a must have as this is a classic survival book.

I really liked this audiobook. There is a lot of information in it and it is delivered quickly. Using just one of the many bits of information could save your life. I don’t think it is particularly poorer for the lack of diagrams as the descriptions are clear.

Superb Audiobook

Lots of good information, but it's heavily dependent on accompanying diagrams (eg. edible plant identification, knots, trap-making, map reading) which make it useless as a standalone audiobook.

Not ideal as an audiobook without its diagrams

This is a book full of good tips, which will surely be applicable if you ever find yourself in a survival situation. However, as there’s lots of lists and short tips and tricks, the book is not really suited for audiobook adaptation. I will probably buy it again as an ebook at some point, so I can enjoy it better.

Not well suited for audio

I wish I didn't buy this, not because the content is inadequate but the narrator was very boring to listen to. He was consistently monotone throughout and made the listen extremely unsatisfying. Additionally in terms of the content, if you're looking for survival tips in times of conflict or uncertainty I wouldn't suggest this book. The author advises contacting police and mountain rescue services and alerting authorities of your location which is not exactly "surviving anywhere". I'm sure there is a lot that is useful however I am quite disappointed most with the monotone voice. Sorry to offend the reader but I have to be honest.

Extremely boring narrator, completely monotone
