About this listen

From New York Times best-selling author of The Dollar Series comes the first novel in a dark romance duet. She is a woman divided. Her past, present, and future are as twisted as the lies she's lived for the past eight years. Desperate to get the truth, she must turn to the one man who may also be her greatest enemy...

He is the president of Pure Corruption MC. A heartless biker and retribution-deliverer. He accepts no rules, obeys no one, and lives only to reap revenge on those who wronged him. And now he has stolen her, body and soul.

Can a woman plagued by mystery fall in love with the man who refuses to face the truth? And can a man drenched in darkness forgo his quest for vengeance-and finally find redemption?

Ruin & Rule is a full-length audiobok and ends on a cliff-hanger. Cleo and Kill's story continues in Sin & Suffer.

I'd heard really positive things about Pepper Winters so was keen to read one of her books. There were times in the book that I was hooked, more so at the beginning it has to be said, but as an entire book it did not captivate me completely. Kelsi Nesser's narration was of a really high quality and I think this is a large reason as to why I completed the book - not sure I would have done if I were reading it myself. I thought the amnesiac side of the story was really good, although I found the childhood/teenage recollections themselves irritating which complicates things as are integral to the entire plot. I don't think I will read the sequel, but there is certainly something about the way Pepper Winters writes and I do think I will try another of her books.
