Gussie Fink-Nottle's knowledge of the common newt is unparalleled. The story is, as all Jeeves-boks, funny and well written. The narration is excellent. But, the varying sound quality is rather annoying.

Brilliant reading of the hilarious novel. Cecil is the voice of Jeeves and Wooster.
I am not sure of the date of these recordings but there is a sense of them being rather old which adds to the atmosphere.

Jonathan Cecil does it again

Anyone wanting an introduction to Jeeves and Wooster could do no better than begin right here: classic stuff, from the imperious Aunt Dahlia to the hapless school chum Fink-Nottle, this will have you laughing out loud from start to finish. Jonathan Cecil does a mostly splendid job of the narration - however, his Bertie Wooster voice changes slightly about halfway through, becoming several tones deeper and slightly closer to that of Jeeves, which is confusing and jarring. Overall, though, a wonderful performance delivered with brio.

Well up to scratch for Wodehouse and entertainingly read. Only negative was the tone of the recording room markedly changing mid chapter on several occasions.

P.G. Wodehouse is of course a comic genius and Jonathon Cecil reads brilliantly and gets the very most from the writing. The scene where Gussie delivers his speech at the school prize giving is an utter joy.

I cried with laughter

Another great Jeeves book with Bertie, Jeeves, Aunt Travers, Gussie, Glossop, Angela, The Bassett. I always enjoy listening to these books often and repeatedly and this is no exception. Wodehouse and read by Cecil just completes any day. As said by others the audio comes in and out regularly, but I did get used to it as I presumed it would happen at any moment. It's not great but it can be lived with, mostly.

This is one of the best audio books around! Very funny and a classic PG Wodehouse story line. If you are considering buying it then I suggest that you buy it strait away without another thought.
