About this listen
Moving back to London after a breakup, Clara has a new hair colour, a new apartment, and a new job.
It’s the job she’s always dreamed of. Except, she never dreamed that she’d have to work with him!
Andrew and Clara have history. He’s both the first boy she ever liked and the first boy she ever hated.
Their reconnection is anything but easy. The banter is quick witted, unprofessional, and downright naughty....
Can this pair put their history to rest for the sake of their careers?
More About the History Series
Clara and Andrew have been in love since their childhoods. He's both the first boy she ever liked and the first boy she ever hated. Andrew used to tease Clara when they were younger and now when they are thrust together for work, years later, finally their love has the chance to develop. Now Andrew knows how to tell Clara he loves her without teasing her, but is Clara able to trust him? Andrew wants Clara but Clara just wants to be able to work in peace. That is until they decide to give each other a chance. Their relationship quickly develops but history keeps coming back to haunt them, not just once or twice but repeatedly. Can their love overcome their past?
The pair try to find out if they have a future together despite their past, in this second-chance, enemies-to-lovers romance.
©2016 Hanleigh Bradley (P)2020 Hanleigh BradleyThe narrator could have easily ruined this entire story. First, I didn't realize this was a UK-based story (which are actually some of my favorites). They characters kept saying 'arse' and I was crazy confused. Then I heard it mentioned that they were in the UK. I feel like some additional vocabulary would have been used but I'm just being picky there. The American accent with a UK-based story threw me for a loop. I probably spent half the story confused just based on the missing accent. Then there were several words that the narrator pronounced oddly... saying them with too many syllables. I'd also really prefer some slight variations with characters voices. Even if the female narrator can't do a male voice, a slight change could have helped a lot.
I totally still plan on listening to the next audiobook. I have to find out how everything plays out but I'm really hoping that a different narrator was chosen!

Office romance

Andrew and Clara went to school together and he has always been attracted her, but he didn’t realize that the way that he showed her he considered teasing, but she considered bullying. He is determined to show her that he not the same man and just when it looks like they are on the right track they are torn apart.
This is the beginning of a series and does end on a cliff hanger that leaves you wondering what the future holds for this couple. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and the performance of the narrator was a pleasure to listen to.
Andrew and Clara!

Really well written story, Clara is likeable but I just couldn't like Andrew, he never showed any remorse for the bullying he inflicted on her, just kept dismissing it as teasing.
Excellent twist to the story at the end.
Overall, the narrator was good, just a few English words mis-pronounced. Felt there could have been a bit more feeling to her words sometimes.
Love story with a great twist
